Eggs are not fertilized in the ovary. An egg can’t be fertilized until it’s released into the tube.

Most fraternal twins appear to result from two eggs being released at roughly the same time, it’s not impossible to ovulate twice in once cyce so, if that happened, twins could be conceived a few days apart.

Yes, it can happen. There was a national news story about this several months ago where a woman was pregnant with 2 different babies, several weeks apart. Pretty amazing, actually!

its rare but it can happen, usually it happens that way when more than one mature egg is released at a time or within a short period of time of each other.

Typically it is either two eggs released together or one egg split into two.

no the only wat you can get twins if you ovulate from each ovary or when the egg is fertilized it splits into two. witch that’s my case my eggs split into 2 so that’s called maternal. if you ovulated from both its fraternal

Eggs can be fertilized at different times. I ovulated on Apr 4th and Apr 6th I know I ovulated 2 different days. My twins due dates were Feb 21st & 23rd so you can have the fertilized at different times. Now if you ovulated on 1 day where there was 1 egg released fertilized and split for identical twins you would not have different fertilization times. Now if you had 2 eggs that were released either the same day or with in a few days they can be fertilized the same day or with in days of each other.
