When two lines intersect, what does that mean not?

catholichelpmate.blogspot.com ® When two lines intersect, what does that mean not?

Problem written by modah: When two lines intersect, what does that mean.?

Do the lines go through eachother, over eachother pass through eachother; what is the mathematica explaination of intersection. Can two points travel each line and “meet” eachother at the intersection?

However this is facts to consider about When two lines intersect, what does that mean.? may aspire to fix concerns individually. Ideally it will help to in several ways, and create your life significantly better. Needing facts to consider about When two lines intersect, what does that mean.? could very well be an option in time.

The definition of intersecting lines is that they share at least one point with each other. This means that yes, two points can travel each line respectively and eventually meet at some intersection point.

Answer by Fafeom
It means they share a common point. In other words at the point of intersection, the x,y coordinates in the functions that define the lines is the same.

When two lines intersect each other at one point then that point is the point that makes the equations equal.

wow is this physics? i thought this is maths.. when two lines intersect, it means that they cross each other.. what do you mean ? can two points travel each line andmeet each other at the intersection? zzz

all lines will definitely intersect at a point called the point of intersection.. except parallel line. A line is parallel if they have the same gradient.

When two lines intersect that means that they share the same coordinates at the intersection point or points; the same Y(‘s) & X(‘s). The point is the same, the two lines basically share that point, so neither one of the lines is up or down; if it they were, then you are talking about a three dimentional plane where the coordinates are not the same as they are at different points (one up one down) and therefore not intersecting.

A mathematical point is a circle of zero radius.

A line is a succession of points.Between any two points on a line there can be billions (infinite number ) of points.

When two points travel on each of the intersecting lines, the points “coincide” at intersection.
