I’m curious to know where this question came from but…
I would bet the mistress is dying to know what the main woman has that she doesnt…its a sick and twisted mind fugg that takes over the women that are caught in these love triangles. Its so so sad and unfortunate. It doesnt make sense but the emotions that tag along are extremely powerful and deceptive.
Its nothing that can be easily explained to the other woman but its such a simple explanation availble. The other woman or mistress is suffering from being her own worst enemy and not even know it til its too late. By the time she realize she has put herself in a terrible situation she is overtly head over heals with the married man.
Breaking from this man is like being addicted to a drug it takes great will power cause he has catered to her needs in some way that she doesnt want to lose. The reality is he has just played on obvious desperation to feel needed and wanted!
But meeting the wife isnt a reasonable or wise attempt. Its nor a sane move at that time! This shows a form of dysfuntion also. It shows the inability to be in control of behaviors and / or rationalize with common sense!

It could be guilt or because the Husband pissed the mistress off and she is seeking revenge to see him hurt and to destroy his marriage, which is already destroyed the moment he made her his mistress.
